Our History

It all started when...

In December 2015 Skye Petho, Co Founder of If We All Had Wings discovered a lump in her left breast.

In January 2016 this was diagnosed as early stages Breast Cancer.

Skye is a local small business owner and single mother with 2 children and found herself in the position of not knowing how she would be able to run her business, feed her children and keep an income rolling in while facing treatment and everything that comes with that.

Luckily for Skye, her family stepped in and supported her while she received treatment and she was able to survive financially.

Not everyone is as lucky and this led to a conversation with some friends one day about how unfair it was that people had to face not only the fear and uncertainty of cancer and treatment but financial stress also.

Fast forward 6 months and the Charity If We All Had Wings was registered and this small group of friends was able to deliver their first donation of $5000 to the oncology unit in Port Macquarie.

If We All Had Wings is a Charity run by volunteers with every dollar donated going back into the community to support the community.

Skye is now on the other side of her Cancer Journey but continues to work towards her goal that "no one should have to worry about financial stress while going through Cancer treatment".
